Allow us to introduce you to the staff of the Richens/Timm Academy in Indianapolis.

John Timm A.D.C.R.G/T.C.R.G. World Champion

John retired from competing in 1993 as that year's Senior Men's World Champion, earning the highest honor an Irish Dancer can receive. Throughout his career he won the Mid America Championships 10 times, the North American Championships twice, as well as the coveted North American Senior Belt. John is a certified teacher and adjudicator and holds a dual degree in Marketing and Management from Wright State University as well. He continues to entertain audiences all over the world as he tours with Cherish the Ladies and headlines his own professional Irish dance troupe, The Celtic Foot Force.


Heather Timm T.C.R.G.

Heather completed her competitive "" career at the World Championships in Killarney, Ireland April of 2003 finishing on the podium in 5th place. She is a four-time regional champion, two-time runner-up at the North American Championships, 4th at the Great Britain Championships, and 2nd at the All-Ireland Championships. Heather is a certified teacher of Irish dance, a University

Scholar who holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Notre Dame, and a performer who continues to entertain audiences all over the world with her husband John Timm.


Liz Donahue T.C.R.G.

Liz Donahue, a former student at the Richens/Timm Academy in Indianapolis, will be teaching the Thursday beginner class this year. Liz is a five time qualifier for the World Championships. Liz has assisted in classes for the last 8 years. She earned her TCRG in 2003 and now is a full-time teacher of Irish Dance. In addition to teaching Wednesday and Thursday classes and private lessons in Indianapolis, Liz teaches a sister school of the Richens/Timm Academy in Kokomo. Liz has a degree in art history from DePauw University.


Meghan Barmann

Meghan Barmann is also a five time World qualifier. She trained at the Richens/Timm Academy and has assisted in classes for 8 years. She has a degree in Advertising from the University of Illinois and currently works for Bandy Carroll Hellige Advertising. Meghan will be instructing the adult classes on Monday evenings this year, as well as teaching children on Wednesday evenings.
